Our fully armed Anglo-Saxon Thegn promises a day full of opportunties - from building a huge model Saxon trading ship and burh (fort), to trying on a fabulous replica of the Sutton Hoo Helmet. Our Thegn introduces your class to the Anglo-Saxon's daily life, and of course, their conflicts with the vikings!
Our Viking hersir will introduce your students to the Vikings' explorations around the world, the countries they travelled to and raided, and what daily life was like for them. He brings along two Viking ships; a trading ship and a longship. Get up close with the ship, raise the sails, and feel the weight of the sword and shield!
Our workshop covers the Battles of Fulford Gate, Stamford Bridge, and Hastings, from the perspectives of Harald Hardrada, King Harold II, and William of Normandy.
