History Squad are helping to keep the memory of the First World War alive this weekend by supporting the Birmingham Pals re-enactment society to occupy the trench system within the museum grounds as British soldiers from around 1916.

Come along and support us too.  Wrap up warm and witness troops going through their daily life in the trenches as you’re guided through the trench network.  You’ll have to keep your head down and watch out for enemy snipers as you get a taste of what it was like to be on the receiving end of enemy fire.   With lots of noise and special effects, this event is not for the feint-hearted.

Join us at the Staffordshire Regiment Museum, Whittington Barracks, Lichfield, WS14 9PY. 
Friday 12th November 7pm and Saturday 13th November, 6pm onwards.
