In 2005, we were commissioned by the Heritage Education Trust to create a guided tour and workshop for the staff at Doddington Hall in Lincoln. In addition we trained their existing staff and gave them the script and tools to enable them to perform the tours themselves.
In 2008, we collaborated with English Heritage to develop the hugely successful Discovery Visits, an educational project to interpret the stories of Goodrich and Bolsover Castle. The Discovery Visits won English Heritage the coveted Sandford award in recognition of the quality education offered. Shelley Fielder, Sandford Award Judge commented .... "His experience in delivery to different abilities and his skill in asking open questions and drawing on the pupil's knowledge to captivate them worked throughout the session. Last year we worked in partnership with one of the leading examining boards OCR to produce a DVD to support their new GCSE qualification. Our brief was to cover the salient points within the syllabus and answer relevant key questions to help them put their learning in context and better understand complex issued. The result was a successful series of short dramatic films which helps students develop analytical skills and challenge their learning.
